How does one know who is a false Christian and who is not? Oftentimes people present a beautiful facade but what's inside is rotten to the core. Is it our place to judge what is true and what is false. In the end, won't we all stand in judgment. Lastly, how is salvation attained, is it by deeds or by God's grace? LTD
ReplyDeleteOur manual of life, the bible states in John 13:35, that those who follow Jesus and are true Christians are those who show love for others. This means that true Christians are those who will do for others first, have mercy and go the extra mile in any way possible to help those in need in any given situation. Basically will live for others first than for ourselves.
DeleteIn Galatians 5:22-23, the bible tells us that we must have the "Fruits of the Spirit, which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control " with these we give testimony of Christ. A true Christian also needs to be merciful and forgive, in Matthew 6:14, the bible states: "For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. Yes it is true that at the end the bible in Matthew 12:36, also states: "We will be judged for every word that comes out of our mouth". So it is not our place to be quick to judge, that is not our calling or what Christianity is about. So although it is true that we need to state the truth and call the wicked by its name; in Proverbs 6:17-19, the bible mentions seven (7) things God hates in us, we need to speak with love, correction, humbleness, and most importantly with the willingness to forgive. We need to be examples to others through our testimony in our daily walk of life, be those who provide solutions not add more turmoil. One of the biggest problems of Christians today is the double life many live, they are saints inside the church but outside they are a mess. And I personally think it’s because they haven't had a true encounter with Christ.
Many people claim to be Christians from birth, they think because they were brought up in church, they are automatically Christians but this is false. Salvation is not inherited, God doesn't have grand kids. The first thing to do in order to obtain salvation is to realize that we are all born sinners and have a need of Christ and that without Him we cannot make it to heaven on our own good merit. The bible says in Romans 3:23 that for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God". This means "we ALL" need to repent. What is Salvation? It is a free gift of eternal life, and the only way to heaven. We don't have to do anything, all we need to do is accept it. Secondly, we must recognize that salvation is only made possible by the grace of God not by any good deeds (Ephesians 2:8-9). Finally, recognize Jesus as our Lord and savior (Romans 10:9-10), by confessing his name, believing and recognizing his sacrifice for us on the cross, we come to obtain salvation. Jesus already did it all by taking our place on the cross and shedding his merciful blood for us which cleans and washes away our sins so It is pretty simple, at the end the fruits and actions will talk for itself and those whose a false Christians will quickly be identified.
